Seven oaks is the biggest and oldest oaks along the NSW coast.
The park, which also features two other large trees, was a favourite of Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and was a popular spot for bushwalkers to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
But it has struggled to cope with the increasing demand for bushwalking.
“It’s going to have to get better,” Mr Turnbull said in the recent state election.

“The forest management committee will be meeting in the coming weeks to consider what to do with it.
We’re talking to people who will be affected, and we’ll be consulting with the community to try and figure out how to best deal with this.”
