How to build a replica of the Great Irish Famine: The Gardiner Express

The first rail car that connected Dublin to Dublin is in the process of being dismantled at the Gardiner Industrial Park.

It’s been one of the busiest rail yards in the country for the last decade, and it’s the scene of a new exhibit on the Great Famine of 1916.

The exhibit features photos and documentation of the Gardiners’ transport, and a reconstruction of the railway in a few places.
