How to make a pot shop in Seattle

Recreational marijuana is legal in Washington, but a lot of Seattle residents don’t get the chance to grow their own pot.

We sat down with the people behind one of the few pot shops in the state to learn how to get started.

“Seattle is kind of a hub for the cannabis industry,” said Brandon Sowden, owner of Sowdon Pot & Gifts in the Westlake neighborhood.

“It has a very high demand for cannabis.

I get the same question every time I open my door, ‘Can I get a grow bag?'”

Sowden’s shop is the only shop in the entire city that can legally grow pot, but he has no plans to stop anytime soon.

He has a few reasons why.

“I have to grow, because I’m a doctor and I’m the one that’s gonna be around and get the cannabis for my patients,” Sowdens said.

“If I couldn’t do it, I wouldn’t have the money to keep doing it.”

He has plenty of options for pot growing supplies.

He also has a large garden to cultivate all the marijuana you want.

He said he can grow about 50 plants a month.

“People can’t grow that much in the city,” he said.

His garden is filled with cannabis plants that have already been grown, and he’s able to harvest them and store them in his garden.

It also makes it easy to store them when they grow into plants.

The plants are kept in the fridge, which is a great way to store the cannabis after you harvest it.

“The best thing about cannabis is that it’s really safe,” he explained.

“You can store it in a safe place.”

Sowdensen said he was one of a small group of people who started a small business in Seattle a few years ago.

He opened his shop in November of 2017 and the following month he started making his own pot to sell.

He now sells about 40 to 50 pot plants a week.

“We’re just getting started,” Sowsden said.

He hopes to grow more in the future.

Sowds is just one of hundreds of marijuana entrepreneurs in the area.

A growing number of them are looking to open their own shops.

There are about 20 marijuana shops in Washington alone, according to the Marijuana Business Research Institute.

“In the last year, the state of Washington has legalized recreational marijuana for all,” Sowell said.

Sowdos has had several customers come in to buy his marijuana.

One of the biggest draws is the convenience factor.

“They don’t have to worry about getting a hold of their product and getting it to them.

They can buy it from our store and they’re on their way,” he added.

Sowell said he started his own shop after hearing about the marijuana industry in Seattle.

He believes Seattle is the perfect location for a cannabis grow shop because of the growing demand.

“There are a lot more people in the country that want to grow and consume cannabis than here,” he noted.

“Everyone wants to get a piece of the cannabis pie.”

Sowell has been a grower in Seattle since 2014.

In 2017, he opened a small pot shop with a few other friends in the neighborhood of Westlake.

His customers mostly came from out of town and wanted to get their hands on his marijuana for personal use.

“My customers really loved it,” he recalled.

“For a long time I didn’t have a lot to offer,” he admitted.

He eventually got more business from his customers and started selling pot at the local bar.

Now, Sowdais is one of many small pot shops opening up all over the state.

“A lot of these guys are starting up all across the country, and I think Seattle is a really good place to start,” he continued.

Sowsdens cannabis is available in different forms.

His business sells hash oil, which contains THC, the active ingredient in marijuana.

His main customers are those with a medical need, like chemotherapy patients and cancer patients.

But Sowds main customers also come from out-of-towners looking for a quick hit.

He even has an “out of town” business that sells marijuana on weekends.

“At the end of the day, the biggest part of the business is just growing our own pot,” Soweens said, “and getting people to want to come and get it for themselves.”
